Discover the still untouched area of the volcanoes Tenorio and Miravalles and the beautiful Celeste river and waterfall in the surrounding virgin forest.

Day 1. To the Lodge
Starting point for this tour is the small town of Bijagua, close to the Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes national parks. We can help you with travel arrangements to get there. Upon arrival you will check in at the Lodge and after you get settled in you can explore the area or dip in the tropical hot bath until dinner will be served in the lodge’s restaurant. You can opt for an exciting guided night walk in the forest to find the red eye tree frog and other night animals.

Day 2. Horseback riding to the Celeste waterfall.
Early in the morning your guide will meet you at the lodge. For the duration of about two hours you will make an easy ride on horseback through primary forest at the slopes of the Tenorio and Miravalles volcanoes. At the entrance of the National Park you will continue by foot walking the Celeste trail until you reach the Celeste river with its magnificent waterfall. Make sure to bring your swim suit! In the afternoon you will be back at the lodge for sunset and a delicious dinner.

Day 3. Onward travel.
Today after breakfast it will be time for check out and you can continue your travels. This area of Celeste is very easy to combine with La Fortuna (the Arenal volcano).

Note: Entrance fee to the National Park ($10 per person is not included)
