you its secrets...
Day 1. From San José to Monteverde.
Your driver waits for you at your hotel in San José. A shuttle van will bring you to Monteverde where you will arrive around noon. The afternoon is free for optional activities, among which we suggest a visit to a butterfly farm or the orchid garden. You can also opt for an organic coffee tour.
Day 2. Discover the Monteverde cloud forest.
After breakfast you will be driven to Selvatura Park. Here you will do a self-guided easy hike through the cloud forest; the trail has several suspension bridges from which you will have a spectacular view of the forest. After a break, you continue with a guided hike into Santa Elena biological reserve. Your guide is an expert on vegetation and wildlife of the Monteverde cloud forest.
Day 3. Back to San José or onward travel.
After breakfast a driver will bring you back to San José in his shuttle van. It is possible to continue to other destinations, just contact us for all options.
