Day 1. Getting to San Gerardo de Dota.
San Gerardo is easy to reach by rental car (contact Ecole Travel for information about rental cars) or by transfer. Choose your way to get to this untouched cloud forest. Upon arrival at the Dantica Lodge you will discover the beauty of the area; Dantica offers magnificent views of the forest and the valley form your private balcony. You can take an easy walk at the paths in the private refuge to spot many animals and birds and relax at your Jacuzzi in your comfortable bungalow.
Day 2. Quetzal birds.
Today you will make an early walk with a guide in search for the Resplendent Quetzal. This hike will start at sunrise to have the best chances of seeing this sacred bird and offering beautiful views of the cloud forest at this time of day. Upon return at the lodge breakfast will be served and you can continue your Costa Rica travels.
