You will picked up from your hotel in San José by shuttle van for Arenal. The transfer to Arenal takes about 3hour and 30 minutes. Check in to your hotel in La Fortuna which offers fantastic views of the Arenal volcano. In the afternoon your guide will pick you up for a visit of National Park Arenal. You will hike its flanks to an old lava flows from which you will enjoy amazing views of the volcano and lake Arenal. This will take about two hours. After the hike you will be transferred to the natural hot springs where you can relax for a couple of hours. You will finish this first day here with a delicious dinner before being transferred back to your hotel.

Prepare yourself for a scenic journey to the cloud forests of Monteverde. The first stage is by van to the shore of the lake Arenal. You will cross this lake by boat and enjoy its beautiful views of the volcano. At the other side of the lake a van is waiting for you to take you to the little town of Santa Elena in the Monteverde area. After check in at your hotel you will have the afternoon at leisure. May be you opt for an organic coffee tour or an exciting twilight walk.

Early wake up for breakfast. Your transportation to Selvatura Park will pick you up at your hotel and will drive you up the mountains. Here you will start your spectacular guided walk over suspension bridges. This easy hike gives you the opportunity to enjoy the cloud forest from different perspectives. The rest of the day is free for optional activities. If you are in for some activity; the ziplining tour at Selvatura park is really a good option!

A shuttle van will bring you back to San José or you can choose another destination for your onward travels.
