PACKAGE DETAILS

DAY 1 - Traveling to Drake Bay

Starting point of this tour is the little town of Palmar or Sierpe. A guide from your lodge picks you up for a beautiful boat ride through the mangroves and the rivers’ mouth to Drake Bay. Upon arrival at the lodge lunch will be served. In the afternoon you will have time to explore the area and to walk around the property trails. Dinner will be served after sunset.

DAY 2 - Hiking National Park Corcovado

After breakfast your captain and guide will be ready to take you to San Pedrillo National Park Ranger station where a hiking tour starts within Corcovado national park. Here you may have the chance to admire many species of wildlife such as monkeys, scarlet macaws and toucans. Your guide will explain about this primary forest and will try to point you as many animals possible. A pick nick lunch will be served during the excursion. You will be back at the lodge in the afternoon.

DAY 3 - Caño Island Boat excursion

Today your captain and guide will be ready to sail you to Cano Island. This is an excellent spot for snorkeling and the observation of marine wildlife such as dolphins, sharks and may be even whales. A box lunch will be served on the island where you can explore the island's trails. These trails will lead along the dense forest above the coastal cliffs and sandy beaches. One trail passes by a pre-Columbian sacred site. The objects found here are displayed at the ranger station. You will be back at the lodge in the afternoon. If you wish to go diving here, we can make your arrangements. Please contact us for further details.

DAY 4 - Traveling back

After breakfast you will travel back the same way as you came: the first part will be by boat over sea and the river to Sierpe. Then (if needed) you will be transferred to Palmar Sur.

“Wild and rough and very hot and humid but it is an amazing day and includes an exciting boat ride down the river and out along the coast.”
